Astaxanthin is an antioxidant from the family of carotenoids. In our capsules, it is extracted from Haematococcus pluvialis algae. As an antioxidant, it can fix free radicals.
Astaxanthin is a pigment responsible for the colour of salmon, prawns/shrimps and pink flamingos. In addition, a relatively large amount of astaxanthin is found in Krill oil.
